Coming to a Memory Near You Spring 2008

Naples Cultural Landscape
A Fund of the Community Foundation
of Collier County
(501c3)

Naples Backyard History is the educational arm of our fund.   We seek to preserve our community's identity by working to
promote our county's history and her local historical groups and museum.

Making our local history an "economic" component of Collier County will allow us to work with the tourism development council (TDC) to help us help our cultural and historical resources during the shoulder months.

Our efforts are targeted to connecting children to their local history through a varitey of programs.

We would appreciate your supprt so we can continue showcase the magic of the place we call home.

All and all funds will be directed to local programs or to one of our three strategic partners:

The Education Foundation /
Connect to the Classroom/Local History
The Children's Musuem of Naples / Journey to the Everglades
Hodges University / Life Long Learning Series

Lal says, "Someone once said that
if you didn’t know history, you were like a leaf that didn’t know
it was part of a tree.    Our tree is called Naples.    Her roots are strong
due t
o the tender loving care from
“social gardeners” .  These social garnders
understood the meaning of community – knew the value of making a place a home –
wanted to leave this
“paradise found” better for
future generations.
We will ensure that their memories are with us always."

Join us in making history....more fun...more available...and most of all... more meaningful.
